"IN FOCUS" DANCE COMPANIES
(COMPETITION GROUPS)
Junior - Teen - Senior
This program is offered for the serious minded, enthusiastic
and passionate dancer!
Our "In-FOCUS" Company Members experience the ultimate rewards and thrilling
sensations of the Art of Dance, Competition and Performance. Being a Company
Member, builds confidence, self-esteem and teamwork, helps you to find your
"Dancer Within" and share the excitement for dance with a supportive and loving
team.
The "In-FOCUS" Companies are organized into three age categories:
The benefits of an "In-FOCUS" Company Member include;
- Assigned placement to a large group in each style of dance in
which you qualify.
- The opportunity for Solos, Duos and Trio.
Under the umbrella of our Dance Companies will be a special
program entitled "FOCUS HONOR GROUPS". ONLY A SELECTED FEW DANCERS WILL
BE CHOSEN TO PERFORM AND COMPETE IN FOCUS HONOR GROUPS. Composition of
these groups is at the sole discretion of the Choreographer. Selection will
be based on technical ability, commitment to the Art of Dance, and Performance
Quality.
AUDITIONING
- Auditions are open to anyone interested in being an "In-FOCUS"
Dancer in Jazz, Lyrical, or Tap.
- AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD ANNUALLY -- THE LAST WEEK BEFORE
SUMMER VACATION.
- Those selected are required to attend Summer-Session.
Choreography for their Competition Dances will begin at this time.
COMPETITIONS, CONVENTIONS, CONCERTS
We will attend Competitions and Conventions (approximately February through
May.) "In-FOCUS" companies are also given opportunities to perform at:
- Opening and Closing numbers of our Concerts.
