Amanda Cathey

Amanda Cathey has earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University of Fullerton. Masters in Educational Studies from University of Phoenix and is currently finishing her teaching credential in Secondary Education.

Amanda has been an instructor since the age of 15 teaching Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater and Ballet at various studios and high schools through out Orange County, California. Amanda has also guest choreographed in Texas, Arizona, New York and Ohio.

Some of her Commercial work includes being a dancer for Black Eyed Peas, Fergi, No Doubt and Snoop Dogg for the “Dance Party Productions” event, a dancer for opening acts for Steve Augeri (Journey) and a dancer with “Unity” Dance Company under the SYTYCD choreographer Tessandra Chavez. Amanda was a dancer in Disneyland’s “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, dancer in the Sacramento Ballet production of “The Nutcracker”. Amanda has also been an assistant on conventions such as Tremaine Dance Convention and LADM Convention. Amanda has had the honor to train and study with Wade Robson, Brian Friedman, Tessandra Chavez, Laurie Johnson, Marie De La Palme, Gillian Finley, Linda Sohl- Ellison and many more.

Amanda is Co-Founder/Artistic Director and Choreographer for Orange County based “Project Uncut” Dance Company with her sister Jessica Wolf. Amanda is the Assistant Director of Corona Del Mar’s prestigious dance team “Orchesis”. Amanda is also the Assistant Artistic Director of FOCUS Dance Center in Irvine Ca. She has choreographed musicals such as “Annie Get Your Gun”, “Urinetown” and “High School Musical”. She also choreographed a parade production with 50+ students for the Maccabi USA Jewish Olympic Games. Amanda has had the great opportunity to guest choreograph for Rancho Santa Margarita Catholic High School Dance Team, Sunny Hills High School Dance Team, Dana Hills High School Dance Team, Northwood High School Varsity Song Squad, The Dance Company in Riverside, Irvine High School Dance Team and many more.

Other than Choreography awards such as “Overall High Score”, “Best in Show”, “Most Breathtaking” from various competitions, Amanda’s prestigious awards include USA all star Song leader, Tremaine Dance Scholarship, LADM Dance Scholarship, David A. Grant leadership Scholarship, OCC Dance Award, Cal State Fullerton ASI Leadership Award, Showstopper National Video Finalists, Industry Dance Award Nomination just to name a few.

Amanda owes the world to her Husband for his unconditional love and support of her dream to Inspire Greatness. She just recently had twin baby boys and motherhood is the greatest gift God has given her.
