Deana Occhipinti has been a dancer for over 25 years and her passion for dance has led her to both perform and teach for the last 20 years. Deana holds a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from California State University Fullerton (cum laude 2000), where she toured regionally with both The Kaleidoscope Players and The Preeminants’ One Hundred Years of Broadway tours. Deana has performed in many reviews, industrials, musicals, dinner theatres and theme parks throughout the Southland. Leading roles in Annie, West Side Story, The Pajama Game, Steppin Out and Cabaret, have earned her many rave reviews. “Her energy and charisma are a standout”-OC Register.

Deana (aka “Mama D”) currently is a Senior Choreographer and the Competition Coordinator for FOCUS Dance Center. Other teaching credits include California Association of Dance/Drill Team (Master Teacher/Competition Judge), Cal State Fullerton, Costa Mesa High School, Los Alamitos High School, Golden State Ballet, and DNA The Dance Lab (Owner/Director). She is also the resident Director/Choreographer for both Trinity United Presbyterian Church and St. Hyacinth Academy. She is PROUD to have BOTH her daughters dancing on and off the stage with her.
