– M.S. Mechanical Engineering

Matthew is an Orange County native, born and raised in Lake Forest, and has been break dancing for more than seven years now. He is a University of California Irvine graduate who began dancing with the universities’ college free-style dance club: B-boys Anonymous. Through the years, Matthew has had extensive experience competing as an individual, and as part of a team, in both breaking and open-style competitions. In addition, he has participated with his Club Team in practicing and performing breaking choreography pieces for both on and off-campus events. Along with his time practicing with his own dance crew, he has had many experiences training and competing all over California, and abroad in Japan and Korea as well. No stranger to working with kids, Matthew has had a long history of tutoring younger children in more traditional school subjects before moving to teach dance. His ultimate goal is to help each student learn not only breaking but to also help them find and express their own voice through dance.
