Anessa, a native Californian, has been dancing for 14 years and has participated in competitive dance for eleven years.
Anessa represented Team FOCUS competing from 2018-2021. Anessa has trained in many styles such as hip hop, jazz, ballet, musical theatre, tap, contemporary, and pointe. She was nominated for OC Artist of the Year 2020. Anessa graduated from Northwood High School in 2021 where she was the captain of the dance team. She is currently attending Cal State Long Beach to earn a BA in dance.
Anessa has been a substitute teacher at FOCUS from 2019 to the present. She’s had the pleasure of training under FOCUS staff such as Monie Adamson, Shannon Willard, Maria Paula Medellin, and many more. Anessa was chosen to perform in the opening number for the Showbiz national competition 2021.
Anessa dedicates her spare time to photography and video editing.
