Michelle has been dancing since she was 4, first learning ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theatre at the Pasadena Civic Ballet Center. She began dancing hip-hop in 2012 when she joined Miniotics, the junior crew established by Poreotics (ABDC Season 5 Champions). Under the mentorship of Dumbo Nguyen, she has been trained in the funk style of popping, additionally learning waving and tutting as supplemental genres. From 2013 to 2016, Michelle has placed Bronze in the Junior Division, Gold in the Varsity Division, and Bronze in the Adult Division while competing with Miniotics in Hip Hop International, USA Championships. In 2016, she appeared with Miniotics on America’s Got Talent as a televised competitor. Currently, Michelle is a student at the University of California, Irvine as a Dance Major with a Business Minor. She aims to earn a B.F.A in Choreography and to eventually found her own dance company in the future! For Michelle, dance is not only her passion but her philosophy for life. She hopes that she can spread the joy she has for dance with her students!
