B.A. in Dance – California State University Fullerton

Sunday began her dance training in 2013 at The Studio Performing Technique Dance School in Amador County. She trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and hip hop under the instruction of Cara Agustin, Sue Brumet, Kate Allen, Lucia Fanelli, and Caitlyn Rubini. 

Sunday was a part of the performing troupe, Kids on Stage, where she performed at various galas, fundraisers, and demonstrations. During her time with Kids on Stage, Sunday fostered her joy of dance and performance.

Sunday attended Hubbard Street Dance Theatre’s 2018 summer intensive in Chicago, where she learned works created by choreographers such as Alejandro Cerudo, Crystal Pite, and Peter Chu.

Sunday helped form a children’s dance program with Sage & Tansy Wellness Studio in Amador County in 2021. During her time with this program, her love of teaching grew.

While earning her dance degree at Cal State University Fullerton, she studied ballet, modern dance, composition, improvisation and dance history. She had the opportunity to train with Alvin Rangel-Alvarado, Debra Noble, Lisa Drasocvich-Long, and Muriel Joyce. Sunday was also exposed to works by Trisha Brown and Talley Beatty while at CSUF.  Sunday was the choreographer for a dance piece at CSUF’s Spring Dance Concert.

Sunday is grateful to teach at FOCUS Dance Center, and loves being a part of the energy and welcoming atmosphere. In addition to teaching at FOCUS, Sunday also teaches at multiple community centers throughout Orange County.
