Building Adjustments for COVID-19

  • Hospital-grade MERV-13 filtering system has been installed on our four AC units.
  • We have maximized outdoor air circulation on our four AC units to improve building ventilation.
  • Air conditioning thermostats are being kept at a responsible temperature to decrease the spread of COVID-19.
  • We are currently researching UV Air purifier being installed in each dance studio.
  • Our Cleaning Company is using CDC recommended sanitizing products for COVID-19 daily.
  • Plexiglass has been installed at the front desk.
  • Cleaning Tray for wiping off dance shoes before dancing.
  • CDC recommended sanitizing products being used hourly for cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces and dance floors.
  • All dance studio doors will be left open for maximized ventilation.

Safety measures for Clients, dancers, and employees

  • Physical Distancing will be practiced.
  • Required face coverings (masks and or face shields for all clients, dancers, and employees per Irvine City requirements as of June 13th.
  • Face Shields and disposable masks are being provided to all employees.
  • Frequent handwashing required.
  • Home Self-screening required for all clients, dancers, and employees before they arrive at FOCUS Dance Center.
  • FOCUS to conduct daily health checks with Non-touch thermometers of everyone before entering the building.
  • Anyone with a temperature of 100 or higher, will not be allowed in the Studio.
  • Personal assigned phone headsets have been provided for all Office Team, for hands-free answering of phones.
  • Faculty will Line up kids for exiting studios after each class.
  • Employees and Faculty will disinfect all workstations keyboards, door handles, dance floors, and dance barres.

Health Measures for Employees

  • Sick employees need to stay home:
  • Employees, who have symptoms will notify their supervisor and stay home.
  • Sick employees will need to follow the CDC-recommended steps. Employees should not return to work until the criteria to discontinue home isolation are met, in consultation with healthcare providers.
  • Employees who are well but who have a sick family member at home with COVID-19 should notify their supervisor and follow CDC recommended precautions.
  • All employees Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or to use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available. Inform employees that if their hands are visibly dirty, they should use soap and water over hand sanitizer.
  • Key times for employees to clean their hands include:
    • Before and after each class
    • Before and after breaks
    • After blowing their nose, coughing, or sneezing
    • After using the restroom
    • Before eating or preparing food
    • After putting on, touching, or removing cloth face coverings
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • After all the above precautions have been taken, and In the case, someone in the building is found to be sick with COVID-19, we will take immediate measure to isolate the person, contact their parents and take actions in closing down for 24 hours to do a thorough CDC approved sanitizing of the entire building, and contact all that were in the class or in the studio at the same time as the infected person.

Health Measures for Clients and Dancers

  • Customers who have symptoms need to stay home.
  • Please notify us if you or your dancer show symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Customers who are well but who have a sick family member at home with COVID-19 should follow CDC recommended precautions.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, or use the inside of their elbow. Throw used tissues into no-touch trash cans and immediately wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid using others’ phones, and equipment, when possible. Clean and disinfect them before and after use.
  • All clients and dancers wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or to use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Key times for clients and dancers to clean their hands include:
    • Before and after each class
    • Before and after breaks
