Tips from Monie…Positive Thinking Is a Way of Life

With a positive attitude, we experience pleasant and happy feelings. This brings brightness to the eyes, more energy, and happiness. Our whole being broadcasts goodwill, happiness, and success. Even our health is affected in a beneficial way. We walk tall, our voice is more powerful, and our body language shows the way we feel.

Positive thinking is contagious! We affect and are affected by the people we meet, in one way or another. This happens instinctively and on a subconscious level, through words, thoughts and feelings, and through body language.

Is it any wonder that we want to be around positive people, and prefer to avoid negative ones? Stay positive and spread good vibes, it’s good for the soul…

Tips from Monie…STAY HYDRATED!

Remember to drink your water! Whether it’s hot out, just done with your dance rehearsal or it’s fall, your body depends on water to survive. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to work properly. Your body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste, and lubricate your joints. Water is needed for overall good health.

You should drink water every day because water is best for staying hydrated. Most people have been told they should drink 6 to 8, 8-ounce glasses of water each day. That is a reasonable goal. However, different people need different amounts of water to stay hydrated. Most healthy people can stay well hydrated by drinking water and other fluids whenever they feel thirsty. As a dancer and athlete, you may need more water.

Remember to keep that water bottle full and close!
